Concept piece for an invented artist

NEON TIDE, “Ride the light.”

A new single has seconds to stop the scroll. This snippet rides a river of neon light through a sleeping city, goes straight up a skyscraper on the drop, and lands on the title, with every cut on the beat.

01The value and the idea

Give the drop a picture.

The brief we set ourselves: a music-video snippet for an independent artist that stops the scroll in a vertical feed, with the look of a cel-anime feature and none of the studio timeline. A new single needs a visual, on a release calendar that has no room for a studio schedule.

The idea is a rider on a river of light. She surfs a wave of neon through a sleeping city, and windows wake in her wake. On the drop she rides straight up a skyscraper and launches off the roof as the whole city lights up, then floats, eyes closed, as the title arrives in light: KAI MOREAU, NEON TIDE, OUT NOW. Every cut lands on the beat, at 124 BPM.

Ride the light.

Who buys this. Independent artists and producers. Labels and release teams with a calendar of singles. DJ and club brands. Playlist and music-channel brands that publish short visuals every week.

What it proves. A single track can have a signature visual: one impossible move, a designed title outro and a 9:16 cut built for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. And a cel-anime music video can be made at an independent artist’s budget and speed.

The system. A release becomes a series. Every single gets its own world: the same rider, a new city and a new impossible move on each drop, so the visuals carry a whole catalogue.

The pair. Paired with YOAKE Ramen, an anime story spot, and WICKWATER, a game trailer: three animated stories, one method, the feeling first and the release as the payoff. See YOAKE Ramen, the anime story spot and WICKWATER, the game trailer.

The ripple, the wave, the roof.

Seven beats in 21 seconds, every cut on the beat: the ripple down the avenue, the wave, the low ride, the wall ride, the launch, the close-up and the title.

  • A city avenue seen from above at night, with a single line of cyan light running down the street between glass and concrete towers.

03What this could do for your business

Make the drop stop the scroll.

Built for

  • Independent artists and producers who need a visual for a release without a studio timeline
  • Labels and release teams with a calendar of singles that each need a snippet and a title outro
  • DJ, club and playlist brands that publish short visuals every week

The business case, in six lines

1The problem it solves
A new single needs a visual that stops the scroll in a vertical feed, on a release calendar and a budget that have no room for a studio timeline.
2What was delivered
A 21 second vertical anime music-video snippet, 1080 by 1920 at 30 fps, sound on: the ripple, the wave, the ride, the wall, the launch, the close-up and a designed title outro, with every cut on the beat of a 124 BPM track.
3What it costs, in shape
Quoted in USD before we start.Industry benchmark, not a promise or a quote: an animation studio price guide puts a full 3-minute 2D animated music video at about $15,000 to $70,000, and a 3D one from about $30,000 (studio price guide, 2026). Ours is a 21 second snippet, not a full video.
4Where it earns
Reels, TikTok and Shorts as the release snippet, a looping visual for the streaming page, the release-day announce, club and festival screens, and a title outro that closes every later video.
5Proof of craft
Every cut on the beat, at 124 BPM. One signature impossible move: the rider goes up the face of a skyscraper and launches off the roof on the drop. A designed title outro, set by us: artist, track and OUT NOW arrive in light.
6What to measure
Completion rate, saves and shares, plays of the full track from the post, and follows from the snippet, per cut, in your own analytics. There are no results of ours for this study yet.

Three plays

  1. The release snippet

The 21 second vertical snippet runs on Reels, TikTok and Shorts on release day: the ripple, the wave, the wall, the launch and the title.

OutcomeRemembered for the move, not the cover

  2. The visual series

Every single gets its own world: the same rider, a new city and a new impossible move on each drop, released with the catalogue.

OutcomeAn audience that follows the look, release after release

  3. The title outro

Artist, track and a release line arrive in light and close every later clip and live visual, so every video ends on the track.

OutcomeEvery view ends on the release

KAI MOREAU and NEON TIDE are invented: there is no such artist or track to stream. This is a concept piece, not a client project.

04Craft and handover

Storyboarded frame by frame, then made.

How it’s made. Storyboarded and art-directed frame by frame, generated with AI video models chosen per shot, then cut, graded, titled and sound-designed by our team.

Format

1080×1920 vertical at 30 fps, sound on, designed in-house: a score made for the film, with no third-party music.

Rules

  • Every cut on the beat. The edit is locked to the bar grid of a 124 BPM track.
  • One impossible move. The wall ride is the signature, and the rest of the film serves it.
  • The title is ours. The artist, track and OUT NOW outro is designed and animated by us, not generated.
  • AI disclosure in the post, never on the frame. The platform label is switched on at upload.

You get

  • The snippet, 21 s, with your title outro
  • The outro, built to close every later clip
  • Key stills for covers and thumbnails
